We did it again! This year's Habitat for Humanity Build Day was bigger than ever.
For the fifth year in a row, we've partnered with Habitat for Humanity to host build days where volunteers from across the company work together to help meet the urgent need for affordable housing in Chicagoland. Each year, we strive to expand the size and scope of this event, and on Friday, September 11, 2026, we reached a new milestone with our biggest build day yet.
At six build sites in Austin (Chicago), Glen Ellyn, Aurora, Joliet, Woodstock, and Waukegan, nearly 100 volunteers worked together with local Habitat for Humanity organizations to strip and replace siding, frame and install windows, install doors, construct a garage, paint, install flooring, and apply house wrap.

Build day is just one facet of how Baird & Warner gives back. In collaboration with the Chicago chapter of Habitat for Humanity, we've aligned on A Partnership for Good — a multi-year vision to strengthen communities from the ground up.

Our Biggest Habitat for Humanity Build Day Yet
We're entering our 4th year in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, and this year we hosted our biggest Build Day event yet.
As part of our commitment to the organization, we organize companywide volunteer days to help build homes with Habitat's Affordable Homeownership Program. This year, our 2025 opportunity is the biggest yet, with two days of volunteering across five build sites.
Working with the Chicago, Will County, Northern Fox Valley, and Lake-McHenry County chapters, more than 70 volunteers from across the company got together to help build homes at five locations. The projects ranged from hanging drywall, to constructing a garage from the ground up and completing framing for a home.
